For this incredible rural home in Auckland, VIKON were in charge of the design and planning. Still in the pre-construction phase, this highly ambitious project marks a notable departure from our typical style and highlights our ability to design complex multi-storey homes with a highly unique layout and style.

Situated in Coatesville, northwest of the North Shore, this enormous home is planned to measure over 500 square metres in building coverage. Possessing a unique right-angle design over two and a half floors, this home is a veritable mansion.

Starting from the bottom, this luxury home features a granny flat that comes with its own kitchen, living area, and two bedrooms – enough for even a standalone residence. This, combined with the four-car garage, make up the lower ground floor.

The upper ground floor is where everything begins. Featuring 4 of the staggering total of 10 bedrooms, the ground floor has all a homeowner could dream of: a split office, game room, and a galley island designer kitchen complete with a scullery – and that’s not all. Aside from the graciously large tea room and lounge, the centrepiece of the home is the gigantic media and living room. Featuring enough space for a grand piano and a theatre-worthy screen, this luxury space doesn’t know the meaning of the word “small”. It even connects to a triple-level outdoor living area that’s just as large, perfect for a fire pit and jacuzzi.
