In Time Upgrades for a New School Year

For this lovely Mount Eden school, VIKON recently finished a stylish hall & entryway renovation. With speedy work required to meet the term start deadline, we worked quickly and accurately to deliver results.

As part of a much-needed schoolwide overhaul of colours, we replaced the aging burgundy wall linings with beautiful new Autex in deep blue. This change was agreed upon by the staff and leadership team.

While our BoxMakers team handled the new reception, VIKON worked on the hall and its entrance. We planned out a robust programme & schedule, lining up with key holiday dates to make sure the work was ready for the new year. Following our timeline to a T, we started with demolition & decommissioning, all the way to touch ups and painting.

Thanks to this, the students of the new year can enjoy performances and assemblies in a revitalised hall. Additionally, with a decluttered and redone entryway, students can breezily enter and exit. The new vinyl flooring was chosen specifically to handle heavy student use as it’s expected to see heavy foot traffic. Likewise, the new ceiling gib & plastering adds a smooth and modern touch – a well needed departure from the perforated acoustic panels of old.

With new floors, ceilings, and walls, this school hall has found new life – and comfortably in time. Our collaborative communication and tight-knit teamwork meant a smooth and timely handover.
