Family Living in Browns Bay

In 2020, VIKON Construction were proud to oversee the construction of a townhouse development in Browns Bay. It was an ambitious project that consisted of four homes in total, each with their own unique layout. As main contractor, VIKON were in charge of both the design and the construction of these units, with the aim of creating durable and modern residences in one of North Shore’s most coveted suburbs. Four homes across two townhouses in a single lot meant more opportunities for prospective homeowners in the region.

In working with such an ideal home location, we aimed to not only live up to Browns Bay’s renown, but to further enhance its prestige, with each home fully equipped with the latest in modern living. Featuring comprehensive Pink Batts insulation, Toshiba heat pumps, and heated bathroom floors, the woes of winter are a thing of the past. The duplexes also sport automatic garage openers, digital locks, and a comprehensive alarm system.

The kitchen and living areas boast an open-plan design, with the former being fully equipped with a dishwasher, separate oven and cooktop, as well as a waste disposal system. The pantry and cabinets were custom designed by our joinery team and compliment the engineered stone benchtop, which is finished in granite.

Despite the duplexes taking up much of the lot’s space, ample room was made for the driveway, parking, and backyard features, thanks to diligent and precise architectural planning. As always, the units feature VIKON’s 10 Year Master Build Guarantee, ensuring a quality home that grows alongside its residents.

VIKON also paid delicate care to the little things, such as power points that feature USB ports, heated towel rails, and a broad array of indoor LEDs, step lights, and sensor lights, creating a home that is well-equipped for the evolving modern world.

Special attention was also paid to the building envelope, with Metalcraft long run metal roofing, James Hardie shiplap weatherboard, and location-specific applications of plasterboard, such as GIB’s Aqualine, Noiseline, and Fyreline.

The result of this endeavour is a set of quality homes that are both affordable and featureful, with an excellent location to boot, ensuring quality living for decades to come.
