Beautifully Reclad in Albany Heights

Within a stunning nature-enclosed suburb, VIKON Construction performed a comprehensive exterior recladding for this premium home. As part of a full home renovation, VIKON were selected to oversee the cladding, which is every home’s foremost defence against the elements.

Situated in a medium-level wind zone, we aimed to make the home ready to bear whatever weather is thrown at it. The previous exterior suffered from a worn appearance and general aging. Calling for a fresh set of pristine boards, the client worked closely with us to finalise the design and brand.

We settled on Claymark’s series of bevel-back weatherboards. VIKON chose them for their comprehensive weatherboard treatment procedure, which uses a combination of deep-penetrating biocides to wholly protect against fungal decay.

Precision installed over H3.1 cavity battens, these boards are sure to uphold top standards in integrity, weather-resistance, and water-tightness. We performed this upgrade all over the home’s exterior, including the entrance support column, which saw the same treatment. Thanks to this, the home enjoyed a new, uniform appearance, with incredible upgrades to durability and soundness, perfect for this serene Albany hillside locale.
