The client sought a home that ages like a fine wine, and as such, we prepared the plans with a forward-thinking design. A special detail about this home is the sheer slope it was built on. Because of the incline, VIKON built the home with timber stilts to maintain its single-storey profile. “Single-storey”, however, comes with a bit of a caveat: the sloped site provided VIKON with an opportunity to create a split-level design, with a handful of steps leading into the kitchen. This gifted the home with a dynamic, expansive feel that showed two side of the same coin.
