
A Dreamy Subdivision in Unsworth Heights
With space to spare, this Unsworth Heights lot was perfect for a subdivision!
For this owner with too much stagnant backyard space, VIKON constructed a solution to make the most of the area, opening up opportunities for both living and profitability. Working with an existing design, we were brought on for the hands-on stage of the project since the task called for an experienced residential builder.
With plenty of owned land, this Unsworth Heights location was a perfect choice for subdividing, with the location and new build being ideal for creating value. In order to accommodate this new home, however, many components had to be removed: the swimming pool, garage, and driveway, as well as a concrete patch for outdoor recreation.
The space freed by the concrete alone could have made a fine granny flat, but combined with the pool & garage, a two-storey standalone home served their ambition well. Not only did it aim to be fully modern, but also larger in area than the existing building. After subdividing, the two land sizes became nearly identical in area.
Working with our dedicated trades, the new build’s interior features exquisite modern bathrooms, spacious sunlit decks, and a stunning living-kitchen space. The broad windows and ground/first floor decks ensure plenty of sunlight wherever you go, as well as serene views of the neighbourhood.
Outside, its combination of creamy brick veneer & white bevel-back weatherboard gives it a soft tone with distinct twin personalities. Combined with its black steel accents and prominent glass balustrades, it emanates modern sensibilities in perfect juxtaposition with the traditional style of the original home.
